DOJ-PPA MIMAROPA Joins National Tree Planting Day in Support of a Greener Future
MIMAROPA Region — July 18, 2025.
In solidarity with the DOJ-PPA National Tree Planting Day and in celebration of the agency’s 49th Founding Anniversary, the Parole and Probation Administration (PPA) MIMAROPA Region conducted simultaneous tree planting activities across various locations in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
With the overarching theme “49 Years of PPA: Evolving Intervention, Strengthening Communities, Transforming Lives,” the activity symbolized growth, hope, and the agency’s commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement.
The regional initiative was made possible through the efforts of PPA personnel, probationers, and parolees from the following field offices:
Calapan City Parole and Probation Office
Oriental Mindoro Provincial Parole and Probation Office
Puerto Princesa City Parole and Probation Office
Palawan Parole and Probation Office No. 1
Palawan Parole and Probation Office No. 2
Marinduque Parole and Probation Office
Romblon Parole and Probation Office
Occidental Mindoro Parole and Probation Office
The activity not only contributed to environmental protection but also served as a restorative initiative for clients under community-based corrections, giving them an opportunity to give back to society and be part of something lasting and meaningful.
Regional Director Janette S. Padua expressed her appreciation for the collaborative effort shown across the region and emphasized that such initiatives strengthen the agency’s mission of rehabilitation through active civic participation.
🌱 Through every tree planted, DOJ-PPA MIMAROPA reaffirms its dedication to sustainability, community service, and the holistic reintegration of its clients.
